Kelly McDonald has practiced in the area of health law for 25+ years, assisting nursing facilities, hospice, home health and other providers with regulatory, enforcement, transactional, contracting, risk management and employment issues. She represents clients in proceedings before the U.S. Health and Human Services Departmental Appeals Board, State Office of Administrative Hearings and in various state and federal courts. She has presented on topics in these areas for the American Health Lawyers Association, American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, the Texas Health Care Association and the State Bar of Texas.
For the past ten years, she has served on the board of Front Steps, the Austin non-profit that provides services to individuals experiencing homelessness, including emergency shelter, recuperative care, supportive housing and various social services.
Ms. McDonald received her law degree from the University of Texas and a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Special Honors from the University of Chicago.
